Hey! Let's get to know each other...

Welcome!

I am Sarah. I love being a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) and have worked for over 15 years in many different settings such as hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, Early Intervention, and schools. I currently work for the Department of Education of NYC in a high school where I provide interventions including targeting vocabulary, reading comprehension, structured writing, and social groups. I am also a member of the Center for Assistive Technology (CAT Team). where I conduct AT/AAC evaluations, training, and implementation sessions.

I am a sequential bilingual language learner, which means I learned Spanish after I learned English. Ask me about my time in Spain and other Spanish-speaking countries! I have spent many years treating and evaluating in both languages.

Licensed both in NY and NJ, I am seeking families to work with either in person or virtually in both states. I am based out of Essex County.

I am available to work with children of all ages in New Jersey and children ages 0-3 in New York City. I am also available to conduct virtual consultations or sessions within the greater NY area and beyond.

As an Assistive Technology (AT) expert, I have received extensive training on multiple Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) platforms including dedicated devices as well as various AAC applications on the iPad. I also have experience with access, be it direct, switch, or via eye gaze. I am also trained in AT applications and extensions for reading, writing, and executive functioning.

When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our two children. I also love cooking (and eating), traveling, playing guitar, and thrifting!
